What are the chains and guards on doors for?

Modern door chain locks add  safety in a similar way to a  screw.  They  enable a door to be opened to  around 150 mm and still keep it  firmly fastened.  The  passenger can check a caller's  identification  prior to fully opening the door.



A 'door guard' provides very good  safety  and also is more robust than  numerous door chains. The  sphere  handle  gets in the  void  in between the metal bars in the closed-door  placement  yet the gap in the slide bar is not wide enough to release it when the door is open.



The 'Security-chain' is concealed in the door frame and has a push button operation for  fast,  very easy  securing. Like other  chains and guards , it can  just be unlocked when the door is closed.
